Privacy

This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit ehsanyazdani.com, by whom, and on what legal basis under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger (HOSTINGER, UAB, Švitrigailos g. 34, LT-03230 Vilnius, Lithuania). When you open a page, the server automatically records technical data: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hostinger stores these logs for a limited period, as described in Hostinger’s privacy policy.

The site’s fonts and its own code are served from this server. Scripts from other servers load only if you choose to play a Vimeo or YouTube video (see section 5).

3. No tracking, no cookies from this site

This site uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. After you send a message through the contact form, the browser stores a timestamp in its session storage to prevent repeated submissions. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the tab.

4. Contact form and email

If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to the form service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards them to my email inbox. FormSubmit’s privacy policy does not state who operates the service, where data is stored or for how long; data may be processed outside the EU. If you prefer, write to me directly by email instead.

My inbox is a Gmail account provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Messages are used only to reply to you and are deleted when no longer needed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a possible project or job, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries).

5. Embedded videos

The site embeds videos from Vimeo and YouTube so the work can be shown. Nothing is loaded from either provider until you click “Load video” on a video. That click is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and applies to that provider until you reload the page or close the tab. After the click, your browser loads the provider’s player and the video, and the provider receives at least your IP address and may set cookies or similar technologies.

• Vimeo: Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA. Videos are embedded with Vimeo’s “do not track” setting. Vimeo is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Vimeo privacy policy.
• YouTube: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The video is embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google privacy policy.

Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, send no data until you click them. After that, the other site’s privacy policy applies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To use these rights, email me.
